Karla Harris (she/her)
Psychologist
Employee of YCP since 2022
I am a registered psychologist who is passionate about the wellbeing and mental health of my clients. Curiosity, warmth and understanding are key components of my approach as a therapist. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and creating safe spaces for expression, communication and reflection are foundational elements of my practice. I am interested in human development and the circumstances that impact our health and wellbeing across the different stages of life’s journey.
My experience and background
In my role at YCP I have offered general psychological services including assessment, diagnosis and treatment. I have experience in working with a range of presentations, such as mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, complex trauma, PTSD, self-harm, "personality disorders", neurodivergences, and relationship/life adjustment difficulties.
In my previous roles as a Student Advisor and Sessional Academic I have spent many years supporting university students throughout their studies and this has increased my desire to support young adults who are experiencing life transitions.
